My name is Dana Jones. I have 4 children, 9 grandchildren. They didn’t tell me I was nominated until after they found out that I got it, but actually two of my daughters nominated me. I’ve had problems with my teeth for years and years and years. I don’t smile, because of it. I had a lot of work done. I was excited, but I’m really nervous. I practiced at home this morning on how to smile, because I don’t do it. My daughter, the one that nominated me, called this morning and said “I want you to take a picture of you this morning with a big smile on your face and then I want to see the one afterward.” So, I did it. Looks terrible, but hopefully it’s going to be a lot better.
This has been a great experience. From the beginning, I was very scared. I was very nervous, because I had some problems in the past. Dr. Mac and Amanda were so good to make me not be so nervous. They talked me through it, told me everything that was going to happen so it has been a great experience and the end result is wonderful. I actually can smile. Now that it’s all done, I feel a lot better about myself. I go places and talk to people that I wouldn’t have talked to before because I was nervous about how my teeth looked. I don’t have to worry about that, anymore. I have beautiful teeth. Dr. Mac and Amanda did a fantastic job. I want to thank them for everything they’ve done. I don’t think they understand how much this means to me. I don’t think I could let them know how much this means to me. I’ve raised my kids and I take care of my grandkids, but I didn’t smile and go places to do fun things because of that-because I was embarrassed of how my teeth looked. They made this a good process.
